Medical Marijuana Bill Passes N.H. House Committee

Concord, New Hampshire - March 19, 2009

A New Hampshire House committee has approved a bill that would legalize medical marijuana.

The bill would allow patients to have up to six ounces of marijuana if prescribed by a doctor. This comes on the heels of a failed bill that would have decriminalized possession of up to an ounce of pot. The full House will vote on the medical marijuana bill next week. A similar bill was defeated in the House two years ago.
