Vermont lost another 1,000 jobs pushing the unemployment rate higher.
The seasonally-adjusted rate for February was 7 percent. That is up two-tenths of a point from January.
The national unemployment rate rose a half point to 8.1 percent.
Locally, the highest jobless rate is in the Newport area where it is now up to 12.3 percent.
The Waitsfield-Warren area is the lowest at 4.5 percent.
