NORTHFIELD, Vt. (AP) - Norwich University in Northfield is laying off four more employees and reducing the hours of 21 workers to help balance the school's budget.
Norwich President Richard Schneider says the move, along with the 12 layoffs announced in December, reductions in the operating budget and elimination of requested increases, will bridge a $7 million budget shortfall.
The layoffs are in information technology, math and science and athletics. The hour reductions ranging from one to three months will affect employees in library and student services and could take place over the summer.
