A man is dead following an early morning fire in the Upper Valley. It happened on Goose Pond Road in Lyme.
After extinguishing the flames, investigators found the body of Edwin Lord, 74, in the rubble of the home. An autopsy determined he died from smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
