Assemblywoman Janet Duprey
Albany, New York - April 17, 2009
Assemblywoman Janet Duprey says she will vote to legalize same-sex marriage in New York.
Duprey is a Republican who represents Clinton and Franklin Counties in Albany. She opposed same-sex marriage in 2006 when she first ran for the Assembly. But she released a statement Friday saying she's changed her mind and will vote for same-sex marriage.
Thursday Governor David Paterson, D-New York, threw his support behind the bill.
