N.H. Police Seek Witness to Hit-and-Run

Lebanon, New Hampshire - May 4, 2009

Police in Lebanon, N.H., are asking for your help solving a hit-and-run case.

Two 14-year-olds-- one from Lebanon and one from Vermont-- were hit by a vehicle Friday evening on Hanover Street. But police say the car fled the scene.

The two teens sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have recovered the vehicle they believe was involved in the crash and are now looking for the driver of a truck who may have been a witness.

"We are also looking for a pickup truck that was in the area that night," Lebanon Police Chief Jim Alexander explained. "This truck was there immediately after the accident and the operator may have even spoken to the kids-- witnesses-- and kids who were struck. It is important to us that we identify that driver. He may have vital information to this case."

Police are asking anyone with any information to call the Lebanon Police Department at 603-448-1212.
