LOCKPORT, N.Y. (AP) - A western New York man who was previously sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a young girl now faces 20 years in federal prison for downloading child pornography.
Under a plea deal, 42-year-old Mitchell Brokob of North Tonawanda will serve the federal term before he serves the state one.
In March 2008, Brokob kidnapped a 12-year-old girl as she waited for a school bus in North Tonawanda, dragged her to a vacant home, and assaulted her.
Police say he was wearing a mask and carrying a knife when he abducted the girl, holding her for three hours in a vacant house. The girl escaped by tying bed sheets together and climbing out of an upstairs window.
