One person is dead and two are seriously injured after a head-on collision in Bennington County Monday night.
The crash happened on Route 7 in Sunderland, when police say the driver of a Subaru crossed the center line and hit a truck head-on. The passenger in the Subaru, 59-year-old Susan Van Horn, of Bondville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Both the driver of the Subaru and a passenger in the truck were airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. The crash shut down part of Route 7 for over four hours Monday night. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
