Democrat Andy White is headed to the New Hampshire statehouse.
White beat Republican Randy Wagoner 867-584 in a run-off election, Tuesday. He replaces Gene Anderson, who resigned in April.
Election officials say turnout was relatively good considering it is an off-year special election.
"We have had other local elections where turnout is 12 percent or less. So the fact that we have 7 percent mid day is pretty good," said Ward 2 Moderator Gary Mayo.
