Stowe, Vermont - June 24, 2009
If you were driving around Waterbury and Stowe, Wednesday, you might have felt like you took a trip back in time.
The region is playing host to the National Horseless Carriage Club's Brass and Gas Meet. All are pre-1916 vehicles, which means most of the cars have brass radiators and gas fueled headlamps.
They will be touring the northern part of the state all week, driving some of Vermont's most scenic roads.
"We like working on them and driving them," said Nick Andricovich, from Shelton, Connecticut. "There's some million, two million dollar cars on this tour, a rolls royce, a couple simplexes."
One-hundred eight cars are registered for the tour. On Thursday they will be touring some of Vermont's covered bridges and woolen mills.
