Claremont, New Hampshire - July 1, 2009
A New Hampshire businessman was killed in a glider crash in Washington State.
Tim Donovan, 52, crashed his glider on Monday near Soap Lake. He was the only occupant.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. But two other pilots flying nearby said Donovan's glider stalled in mid-air and the wings broke off the aircraft before it hit the ground.
Donovan founded Optimum Manufacturing 25 years ago and the company has plants in Claremont and Charlestown. The company produces custom optical components for the aerospace industry and defense contractors.
