Teens Cited in Bennington Vandalism

Bennington, Vermont - July 7, 2009

Bennington police have cited nine juveniles into court for vandalizing a former school building.

Police say the teens-- all between the ages of 13 and 15-- threw rocks through the windows of Catamount Elementary last month. They also allegedly broke in and set off several fire extinguishers. Police also believe they have been using the gym as an indoor skate park. Damage estimates are around $10,000.

All the teens were cited for unlawful mischief and unlawful trespassing.
