NEWPORT, N.H. (AP) - A former New Hampshire police officer and radio host is headed to prison for up to 20 years after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a young girl and photographing the act.
Aaron Aldridge, 42, of Newport, entered the plea on Wednesday. He was sentenced to 10 to 20 years on the sexual assault charge. County Attorney Marc Hathaway said Aldridge also was sentenced to 7 1/2 to 15 years on one charge of possessing child pornography -- photos of the assaults. That sentence will be served at the same time.
A second sentence of 7 1/2 to 15 years on another pornography possession charge was suspended.
Aldridge was accused of having sex with a girl as young as thirteen over a 6-year period and with having pictures of the assaults on his computer.
