Washington, D.C. - July 29, 2009
Two Vermont teachers were honored by President Obama, as among the best in the nation, at teaching math and science.
Christa Duthie-Fox teaches science at the Charlotte Central School. Cathleen Newton teaches math at the Dothan Brook School in White River Junction. They were among just 87 teachers nationwide to receive the Presidential Award for Excellence.
They head to Washington this fall to get their awards and $10 thousand.
