NEWBURY, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department has won final permission to build a new boat access facility on Lake Sunapee.
The state bought the land in Newbury 19 years ago for the purpose of construction a free public boat launch on New Hampshire's sixth largest lake. Officials say other access points are restricted to residents, require users to pay a fee or have limited parking.
The Department of Environmental Services recently approved a wetland permit application for the project.
