Bennington, Vermont - August 5, 2009

A Bennington man will spend up to 20 years behind bars for attacking two women with chemicals.

Patrick Morse, 34, pleaded guilty to kidnapping, assault and robbery charges. Police say last September, Morse pointed a gun at a clerk at the Paradise Inn in Bennington and sprayed her in the face with a chemical similar to mace. Police say Morse also sprayed a woman in the face with the chemical outside the Hannaford supermarket in Bennington.
