Montpelier, Vermont - August 14, 2009
Regulators from Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine are teaming up to get answers from Fairpoint Communications.
It's the first time utility regulators from all three states will jointly question company executives about Fairpoint's ongoing problems. This comes after months of consumer complaints since the company bought Verizon's land line operations last year. The joint session is set for September 9.
On Sept. 10th, Vermont regulators will hear Fairpoint's case for why they're still viable to operate in the state.
