ASHLAND, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire selectman says two legislators have agreed to sponsor a bill that would limit the movement of paroled killers.
The New Hampshire Union Leader reports Selectman Leigh Sharps of Ashland said the bill would address concerns over the presence of paroled child killer Raymond Guay in nearby New Hampton.
Guay was placed in the home of Bob and Judy Ulrich by federal authorities in May. That prompted a large turnout of concerned residents at a selectmen's meeting, including two women related to the murder victim who live in the area.
Sharps said state Sen. Deborah Reynolds and Rep. Fran Wendelboe have agreed to sponsor the bill, which would say no parolee can be returned to the community where a murder happened and can't live near a victim's relatives.
