Keene, New Hampshire - August 21, 2009
A New Hampshire state trooper fired shots at car driven by a Brattleboro man who reportedly drove right at the trooper.
Police say Friday morning in Keene, N.H., they tried to pull over Peter Simon, 39, but instead they say Simon drove at the trooper. The trooper shot at Simon, who then allegedly sped off and crashed into a bus. A passenger on the bus had to be airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock.
Witnesses said Simon took off on foot after the crash and ran into a restaurant where he begged employees to kill him.
Simon is charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon.
