About 2,400 CVPS customers are without power. The utility says around 2:00 Sunday afternoon some wires burned near the Salisbury substation. That knocked out power to people in Shoreham, Orwell, Whiting, Sudbury and Hubbardton. Crews need to replace a pole and make other repairs. They hope to have power restored by 8:00 Sunday night.
