POULTNEY, VT - A match-up of the last two Division Three champions lived up to the hype. Defending champ Springfield edged Poultney 6-0 in overtime. The homestanding Blue Devils are among the favorites to make it to the title game this year.
Also on Saturday, Rice came back from a 14-6 halftime deficit to defeat Lyndon Institute 18-14.
Also around the state, St. Johnsbury beat Mt. St. Joseph 25-0. Otter Valley edged Mt. Abe 56-7. Windsor knocked off Oxbow 39-6, and Milton traveled to BFA-Fairfax and came away with a 32-8 win.
