Randolph, New Hampshire - September 7, 2009
Rescue crews came to the aid of a family that was stuck on a hiking trail in the White Mountains.
The family was on the Ice Gulch Trail in Randolph, New Hampshire Sunday afternoon. Authorities say a 10-year-old boy in the group fell and suffered minor cuts and bruises. The family soon found itself stranded on a steep part of the trail, unable to go up or down without assistance.
Three Conservation Officers responded to the call for help and assistied the family down to their car, about eight hours after the initial call.
