A Bennington County school teacher denied charges that she hosted an underage drinking and drug party.
Police say they found eight minors drinking and smoking pot along with evidence of cocaine and prescription drug use at 38-year-old Allyson Hoffman's home in Sunderland last month. An 18-year-old girl was hospitalized. Hoffman claims she was asleep and had no knowledge the kids had entered her house to party. Hoffman has been suspended from several positions she held in the Battenkill Supervisory Union.
