Montpelier, Vermont - September 24, 2009
Vermont's 2010 gubernatorial race has another possible candidate. Former Democratic State Sen. Matt Dunne is considering joining the crowded primary.
Dunne, 39, lives in Hartland and works for Google. He served in the Vermont House from 1992 to 2000, then in 2004 he returned to the State Senate, serving Windsor County for four years.
He decided not to run for office in 2008 because his wife was expecting their second child. If Dunne runs and wins the primary he could face Lt. Gov. Brian Dubie, who beat him for the lieutenant governor's seat in a statewide election.
