St. Johnsbury, Vermont - September 24, 2009

Central Vermont Public Service is staying away from an apartment building infested with bedbugs.

Depot Square is a 46-unit apartment complex on Railroad Street in St. Johnsbury. It's had bedbugs for several months. Almost every unit is infested.

Now CVPS will not go in to read meters there at the request of the electric company's employees. CVPS says it will instead rely on past power use to estimate consumption until the bedbugs are eradicated.
