A Vermont seed company won a legal victory that requires more study of genetically engineered crops. A federal judge in California found the government failed to require a full environmental impact study of genetically modified beets.
High Mowing Seeds of Wolcott was party to the suit. They argued the modified seeds could blow and contaminate nearby fields of organic beets.
