Schenectady police ID body found in vacant apartment

Associated Press - October 6, 2009 3:05 AM ET

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) - Schenectady police have released the identity of a woman found dead in the closet of a vacant downtown apartment, and are asking any of her relatives to contact them.

The woman is identified as 48-year-old Patrisha Ann Clay. Autopsy results last week were inconclusive but police say it doesn't appear she was murdered.

Clay was found in a second-floor apartment above a book store not far from City Hall. She didn't live in the building.

Detectives were unable to get in touch with her family and are asking any of her relatives to contact them at 518-382-5345.
