Smugglers Notch, Vermont - October 10, 2009
Search crews rescued two injured hikers near Smuggler's Notch Saturday.
The two were hurt in separate accidents, but both occurred on the Sterling Pond Trail near the top of the notch.
The first hiker injured his back but was able to walk out of the mountains on his own.
The second man broke his leg and had to be carried a quarter-mile down the mountain.
Neither of the men's names have been released.
