Police Arrest 2 in Rochester Bank Robbery

Springfield, Massachusetts - October 16, 2009

Police have arrested two suspects in Thursday's robbery at the Randolph National Bank in Rochester, Vt.

Friday, police said they had arrested Daryl Williams, 49, and Andrew Dion, 41, both of Springfield, Mass. Police say Williams is the man who entered the bank. They say both men are also linked to a bank robbery in Connecticut earlier this month.

Williams was arrested Thursday night. Dion was arrested Friday. Police say both were taken into custody without incident. They are being held in Springfield, Mass., as both the Connecticut and Vermont State Police start extradition paperwork to charge the men in the two robberies.

The getaway car police were seeking in connection with the Vermont robbery was recovered in Rutland Friday.
