Pellet Stove Causes House Fire in Waterbury

Waterbury, Vermont - October 22, 2009

A wood pellet stove caused a house fire this morning in Waterbury.

Waterbury, Stowe and Bolton Fire Departments responded to 302 Camels Hump Rd. at about 3:30 a.m.

Fire officials say one person was at home but was able to get out safely. There are no reported injuries.

The fire quickly spread from the wall to the roof, which was completely destroyed. Most of the inside of the home was saved.
