Burlington, Vermont - October 22, 2009
Burlington's Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer have already been grilled by the City Council over the Burlington Telecom controversy. Now they have to face the public.
The city has been in upheaval over the use of $17 million in taxpayer funds to prop up the city-owned cable company, which is a violation of Burlington Telecom's license. City Councilor Ed Adrian is calling for Burlington's Chief Administrative Officer to be put on unpaid leave until the situation is settled.
Tonight Mayor Kiss and other administration members will listen to what residents have to say about the issue. The public forum starts at 7 p.m. at City Hall's Contois Auditorium.
We'll have a report tonight on the Channel 3 News at 10 and 11 p.m.
