Police: Drugged Driver Caused Deadly Wreck

Plattsburgh, New York - October 22, 2009

New York State Police say the man who caused a double-fatal crash last week in Plattsburgh was impaired by drugs.

Aaron Trombley, 32, is charged with drugged driving, reckless driving and several other traffic violations.

Police say last Friday, Trombley crossed the centerline on the Military Turnpike and hit an oncoming car. Two passengers in that car; Ronald Lee, 69, of West Chazy, and Robert Wood, 44, of Altona, were killed.
