ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Once again, a candidate running in the special election for upstate New York's 23rd District Congressional seat won't attend a candidates' forum.
This time it's Conservative Doug Hoffman who isn't showing up for the event in Plattsburgh, which is days before the Nov. 3 special election. A spokesman says Hoffman has a scheduling conflict he won't divulge.
He's missed some previous forums, as has Democratic nominee Bill Owens.
Republican Dierdre Scozzafava (skoh-zuh-FAH'-vuh) has attended all of them so far.
The forum Wednesday is at State University of New York at Plattsburgh and will be broadcast on North Country Public Radio at 7 p.m.
The 23rd district includes 11 counties.
The first three-way debate in the election is Thursday in Syracuse on WSYR-TV.
