PROCTOR, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont company that makes reels that hold wire, rope, cable and other products is moving its headquarters from Rutland to Proctor.
Carris Reels bought a 10,000-square foot building from Omya Inc. and will relocate its corporate offices, including 23 employees, before the end of the year.
Carris Reels President Michael Curran tells the Rutland Herald its 16,000-square-foot Rutland building is bigger than the company needs.
Curran says the move will have no effect on the company's Rutland manufacturing operation.
The Rutland-based Carris Reels employs 475 workers throughout North America.
