Lebanon, New Hampshire - November 11, 2009
Employees at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center who are living in a domestic partnership have one year to get married or get a civil union if they want to keep their benefits. The Lebanon, N.H. hospital originally adopted the benefits for same-sex couples because they didn't have access to health care through marriage or civil union. About three percent of the hospital's staff receives domestic partner benefits. They have until January of 2011 to comply or lose coverage. WCAX News
