Three Youth Register High BACs in Underage DUI Stop

Bennington, Vermont - November 11, 2009

A case of extreme underage drunk driving late Monday night.

Police arrested 20-year-old James Jerome, of North Bennington, in Bennington at around 10 p.m. for DUI and possessing cocaine. His blood alcohol level was reportedly .148, nearly twice the legal limit for legal drivers, and many times that for a driver his age.

Two other people in the car, 20-year-olds Matthew Morse and Natasha Hoag were just as drunk, with Morse registering a BAC of .175 and Hoag at .146. Police say both have prior alcohol history.

All three will be in court at a later date.
