Two Vt. Waldenbooks Stores Slated to Close

Burlington, Vermont - November 11, 2009

Two Waldenbooks stores in Vermont are expected to close in January.

Borders Group, which owns Waldenbooks, plans to close two-thirds of its stores in a continued effort to turn a profit. Those include the stores in the Berlin Mall and Rutland's Diamond Run Mall. It's unclear how many people will lose their jobs. However, the Borders stores in Burlington and South Burlington will remain open.
