BURLINGTON, VT - Essex High School is celebrating a state football title. The Hornets capped their undefeated season with a 48-14 win over rival Rutland in the Division One championship game at Burlington High School.
This is the first time Essex has defeated Rutland in the post-season. The Raiders failed to claim their sixth title this decade.
