One of Vermont's long-time auto dealers is selling to a former competitor.
The owner of Walker Ford near the roundabout on the Barre-Montpelier road says he's selling the Ford Dealership to the owner of Formula Ford, just down the road in South Barre. Formula's owner says he'll move the consolidated dealership to the roundabout.
Walker's owner, Wade Walker, told the Barre-Montpelier Times Argus that the Ford company made clear they wanted the two dealers to work out a deal. Walker will continue to run his Volkswagen and Mazda dealership.
