NEW YORK (AP) - Police are questioning two people in connection to a shooting in which a 15-year-old bystander was hit in the head.
Police say the two people are in custody at a Bronx precinct. No arrests have been made yet.
Vada Vasquez was shot in the head around 3:45 p.m. Monday, about two blocks from Bronx Latin School in the Morrisania neighborhood. The intended target, 19-year-old Tyrone Creighton, was hospitalized in stable condition. He was hit in the torso and leg.
Police say the shooting may have been in retaliation for an altercation involving Creighton's brother.
