NEW YORK (AP) - New York City and state officials have arrested three people and seized 61 pounds of cocaine worth millions as well as $800,000 in drug money.
State police and the city's Special Narcotics prosecutor's office worked together on the case. The money and most of the drugs were seized inside a Williamsburg, Brooklyn apartment Wednesday and were hidden under the seat of a portable sauna.
Two people in the apartment were charged with possession of a controlled substance.
State police followed a third resident, who was seen leaving the location and placing boxes in his car. He was stopped and arrested after police discovered the remaining drugs.
The three suspects are awaiting arraignment in Manhattan criminal court.
