BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) - A 23-year-old Broome County man was sentenced to five years of probation for the 2008 death of his 12-year-old brother.
Shawn Munck was convicted of criminally negligent homicide in September for killing his brother Peter by stomping on his abdomen while the two were wrestling.
Police say the older brother failed to seek medical attention for the boy, whose body was discovered by a relative days after he died in his grandmother's home in Endwell.
Munck served more than a year.5 in the Broome County Jail while he awaited his trial.
