
Tupper Lake, New York - November 25, 2009
New York State police are investigating a fatal one-car accident in Tupper Lake, N.Y., that claimed the life of a college student.
Just before 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, police say a car of college students, driven by 20-year-old Erica Romaniello of Selden, N.Y., left SUNY Potsdam heading south on Route 30. Police say that's when the car left the road and overturned several times. One of the passengers, 21-year-old Tyrell Spencer of Uniondale, N.Y., was ejected. He later died at he hospital.
Romaniello and another passenger, 18-year-old Jean Carroll of Islip Terrace, N.Y., were taken to the hospital with head and neck injuries.
