MILFORD, N.H. (AP) - A deployment ceremony is being held next week for 140 New Hampshire National Guardsmen who are heading to Afghanistan to train police, border patrols and security officers there.
The Milford-based mountain infantry company is deploying to Afghanistan as part of the Vermont National Guard's 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
The ceremony will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. for the C Company, 3rd Battalion, 172nd Infantry Regiment at Milford Middle School.
