ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Jazz musician Chuck Mangione won his first Grammy Award in 1977 for his album "Bellavia," which was named in honor of his mother.

Nancy Bellavia Mangione (BELL'-uh VEE'-uh man-JIOE'-nee) died in Rochester on Wednesday at age 95, her family said. Her maiden name means "beautiful way." Her husband of 67 years, Frank, died in 2001.

Chuck Mangione, a flugelhorn player and brother of jazz pianist Gap Mangione, achieved international success in 1977 with his jazz-pop single, "Feels So Good." He has released more than 30 albums since 1960.

Survivors also include her daughter, Josephine Shank, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
