HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a woman in a house fire on Long Island.
Police say the 26-year-old woman was found after firefighters were called to a fire at her home in Hauppauge Monday afternoon.
Police did not say what caused the fire. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
The victim's name is being withheld pending positive identification.
