10 arrested in Essex County drug roundup

Essex County, New York - January 6, 2010

Police say they made a large drug bust Wednesday in Essex County, N.Y.

N.Y. State Police arrested 10 people in the Keeseville area. They say the suspects were using or selling drugs-- mostly prescriptions.

Police say the roundup was prompted by an increase in prescription drug crimes like pharmacy break-ins. Police say they have also seen a spike in drug-related deaths, investigating about one a month.

The Essex County Drug Task Force arrested the following subjects:

1. AMY E. CONWAY DOB 07/30/87 of 14 Broad Street, Apt. 2, Port Henry, NY

  • Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (Class B Felony)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (Class B Felony)

2. ISA H. COLEMAN DOB 09/29/78 of 129 Farmer Street, Buffalo, NY

  • Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (Class B Felony) - 2 Counts
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (Class B Felony) - 2 Counts

3. RALPH J. CLARK DOB 03/23/62 of 169 Seventy Lane, Lewis, NY

  • Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 4th degree (Class C Felony) - 2 Counts
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled 5th degree (Class D Felony) - 2 Counts
