NEW YORK (AP) - A new entrance to New York City's Grand Central Terminal is being built for current Metro-North commuters and future Long Island Rail Road riders.
Metro-North Railroad says the entrance on East 47th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues is expected to open in September 2011.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the entrance is part of the Long Island Rail Road's East Side Access project that will bring commuters from Long Island and Queens to Manhattan's East Side. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
