NEW YORK (AP) - New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg says everyone must deal with getting older but would not talk about a newspaper photo of a new hearing aid in his ear.
Bloomberg was asked Thursday about a New York Daily News story about how he is trying out hearing aids. The newspaper recently spotted the devices in both of his ears.
Without cracking a smile the mayor said: "I couldn't hear what you had to say."
Asked again later, he said everyone has to deal with getting older. The mayor turns 68 this month.
He was not wearing hearing aids Thursday.
