A central Vermont airport was the site of a large demonstration Saturday.
More than a hundred small planes landed in Berlin airport to protest a proposal that could result in the closure of the airport's restaurant. Sambel's has been a mainstay in Berlin for the last 21 years -- leasing the building from the Vermont Transportation Agency.
The agency now wants to change the lease, forcing the restaurant's owners to pay more. Transportation officials say the state is losing upwards of $60 thousand dollars a year because of the lease.
